Whitney & Matt

Saturday I headed to Rome, GA for Whitney & Matt's wedding. Whitney has to be the happiest bride I have ever seen and I just loved that about her. I really love that in most of the pictures she is laughing and smiling from ear to ear. The church had such beautiful architectural features which we were luckily able to utilize after a little bit of rain in the afternoon.

I have to give a big shout out to Holly Lynch from The Season. She is just the most amazing wedding coordinator I have ever worked with and she is truly a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a coordinator!

So, at the start of the ceremony the groomsmen all had messages for Matt taped inside their jackets which completed a phrase. I am not exactly sure what it meant but it was pretty funny and you can tell these guys really have fun together!
The mother of the bride looked so pretty in the light as she waited for her daughter to make her way down the aisle.
Before the ceremony all of the girls who were already married talked about the moment right before you walk down the aisle and what a nervous feeling that can be. I didn't see that in Whitney at all - I just saw a radiant smile and I loved that she was saying hello to all her guests as she walked to her groom!

The reception was at Magretta Hall on Broadstreet.

And the night wouldn't be complete without a beautiful exit. Have I mentioned that sparklers are really my favorite! They are headed to Hawaii for their honeymoon (I'm so jealous!).

Whitney's Bridal Portraits

Yesterday Matt & Whitney were married which is good news for me because I can finally share some of Whitney's Bridal Portraits that we took! We went to Oak Hill which is a part of Berry College (Martha Berry founded the college and Oak Hill is the house that she lived in and the location has been turned into a museum). You may recognize the location if you have seen the movie Sweet Home Alabama because the wedding scene was filmed here and I was actually a student at the time so I got to watch Reese Witherspoon punch Candace Bergen multiple times :). Anyway, we had a great time with these pictures and Whitney was such a trooper with some of the things I asked her to do. I'll be posting some of their wedding pictures shortly but here are a few:

After we finished at Oak Hill we went to Broadstreet in downtown Rome and had some fun at a few of the local shops (The Music Room and Harvest Moon).

Help Pets Victimized by Foreclosures!

This morning I was getting ready to head out the door for a wedding when I heard something on the Today Show that really spoke to me and made me very sad at the same time. They interviewed a little girl who started this website: http://www.freekibble.com/. She started this organization because there are so many homeless pets due to the number of foreclosures the market is seeing right now. Everytime you play the trivia game on this website you are donating food to shelters for these dogs! What an amazing little girl to start something so wonderful!

I had to immediately go and hug my sweet little dog after this story so I thought I would post one of my most recent pictures of him.

Whitney & Matt are getting married today and I am so very happy for them! I will be posting a few of Whitney's Bridal Portraits when I get back as well as some wedding pictures in a few days. Have a great Saturday!

Lauren & Caleb Engagements

Last Thursday I also got together with Lauren & Caleb at Berry College for some engagement pictures. First of all, I have to say that I really do believe I have the most beautiful people to take pictures of and Lauren & Caleb are absolutely no exception. They are so beautiful inside and out and the lighting on this Thursday evening just really made them shine! Lauren has such an infectious smile and I love that she laughs in so many of these pictures.

So, you've seen a walking picture in the last couple of posts but I just really think there is something about a couple walking hand in hand in a photograph. Here's another one (I just love the mountains in the distance!):

This one is my absolute favorite - the lighting was just perfect!

Totally their idea and a very cute one!

The couple really wanted to take pictures in the places that were most special to them as a couple so we went over to the bridge on Broad Street. I hadn't really gone there for pictures before but I'm so glad that we did!

Tiffany & Greg Engagements

Last week I met Tiffany & Greg for engagement pictures in downtown Roswell. We went to Barrington Hall first and then went to a few other locations around town. As you can see the couple brought their sweet puppy dogs. Tiffany is such a natural in front of the camera and I am so looking forward to their wedding next month!
